About PacAdvantage

 

With roots going back to 1992, PacAdvantage offers affordable combinations of health insurance plans for businesses based in California with 2-50 employees. PacAdvantage is actively committed to serving small employers by expanding access to affordable, quality health care while offering their employees choices to better manage their unique health care concerns. With PacAdvantage, small employers can offer coverage that might otherwise be available only to employees of large organizations.

PacAdvantage contracts with quality medical, dental, vision and chiropractic insurance plans to offer health insurance coverage to small businesses. By leveraging the purchasing power of employers across the state, PacAdvantage allows businesses to offer their employees full-service products at affordable rates.

PacAdvantage was established by the Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH). Founded in 1989, PBGH is a non-profit coalition of major California employers that is nationally recognized for its efforts to improve the quality and availability of health care while moderating costs. Referred to as value based purchasing, it means that PBGH cares equally about quality, availability and cost. PBGH's 50 major purchaser members represent approximately 3,000,000 employees, retirees and their families and billions of dollars in annual health care expenditures. Both large and small employers benefit from PBGH's leveraged buying power, administrative efficiencies, and comparable performance information across health plans, physician groups and hospitals.
